I mainly publish non-fiction, because other New Zealand publishers have fiction pretty much covered. However, I have bent the rules when, unsolicited, I've been sent a really good manuscripts. 

Before you send me a completed ms, try me with a synopsis first - the genre may not be something which fits my list. But if you really want me to read your ms, please have it edited by a professional, include your short biography, and reference other work you've had published.

I don't publish children's books or YA - that genre is a competitive market and I'm not qualified to venture there.  

I'm not interested in misery memoirs.

So if you do have an idea burning inside email me about it, but don't send multiple submissions - ie to multiple publishers. It wastes all our time. I promise to reply.
